Easy Steps To Back Up IPhone Without ITunes

For any smartphones, tablets, or computers you may own, backup is important because it allows you to restore the previous configuration even if you reboot or switch to a new system. With the iPhone, all data from the smartphone can be copied and stored in the cloud or locally for later access.

If you back up your iPhone, reset it after a repair, or configure a new iPhone with the previous data and settings, you can easily restore the content and settings on your computer. For MacOS 10.15, you used iTunes on your Mac to back up your iPhone. iTunes no longer exists, but that doesn’t mean you don’t have options.

In this article you will learn the different ways to back up your iPhone data.

Using iCloud on your iPhone

When you back up your device with iCloud, you don’t need a cable or connection between your iPhone and your computer. With WiFi, iCloud can store the following items:

ICloud cannot back up the following items from your Apple account: iCloud music, App Store materials, Apple Mail data, Face ID or Touch ID settings, Apple Pay data and settings, data already stored in the iCloud, and data stored in other cloud storage systems such as Gmail and Exchange.

The first step is to make sure your iPhone is connected to the Internet over a WiFi network, preferably without a connection to another device, to back up your iPhone.

Once you have opened the Settings application and selected your name on the screen, you can back up iCloud.

Touch the iCloud option in the Apple ID bar.

Then scroll down and select the iCloud backup option from the iCloud panel.

Now all the data is copied from your iPhone to the iCloud and your computer is connected to the Wi-Fi network to make sure the data is loaded correctly.

You can check the status of the backup at any time by returning to this screen.
