The Mac offers its own compression and decompression solution, Archive Utility, which integrates directly with macOS. The Finder’s Archive utility compresses ZIP files by default, leaving files and archives only when they are decompressed or compressed. Some Windows .EXE installation programs and some ISO and BIN disk file formats can also be opened using Unarchiver. In addition, the program can detect and correctly manage the encoding of file names to open files correctly without displaying distorted file names. You can also use the application to access password-protected archives and select the appropriate encryption for extra protection.
